10 Days of Fenty Beauty: A Storm in the Stars
You know what they say- one, two, three, eyes on me! For day three I decided to go dark, stormy, and and bold. Let me tell you, the Fenty Beauty Galaxy Palette came through with plenty of opportunity to do all three. I did a livestream of this look via Instagram, did any of you guys watch it?
To start off, I applied elf primer all over my face and eyelids. For my eye look, i applied the shade Space Owt from the Galaxy Palette on the outer corners and about a dime diameter into the crease and then blended it into the middle of the lid. It took about four applications of the product to get a significant amount of the base purple color to show to my liking. I added a bit of a simple dark grey in the outer corners to add some dimension.
I always like to add a lighter, white shade to the inner corners of my eyes, and since this is a 10 Days of Fenty Beauty post, I used Milky Way from the Galaxy palette. Just below the waterline, I shaded from the inner corner with Milky Way to the center and then added Space Owt from the center to the outer corner. I have been using this technique a lot recently and am loving how it simultaneously brightens and adds to the smokiness of the look.
I once saw Kim Kardashian do her contour in the shape of a 3 on her face, so I decided to try it this time, with the Match Stix in 'Mocha'. I had never done contour along my jawline so I was a bit nervous, but I am very satisfied with the result! I blended with an oval brush from the My Makeup Brushes set that I bought for $25. If you have read my other posts on Fenty Beauty, you know which ones I am talking about.
For concealer, I used the shade 'Bamboo' , also from the Match Stix Trio in Medium 200. I am fairly consistent with my placement of concealer- just under the eyes. For blush, I actually used the Match Stix highlighter 'Trippin' which has an orangey- pink glow. In place of that highlighter I used the shade Milky Way from the Galaxy Palette with my Morphe fan highlighter brush. I was hesitant with my application at first because of how glittery these eyeshadows are, but ultimately I fell in love. So, I layered that EVERYWHERE! And, by everywhere, I mean along my nose ridge, the tip of my nose, above my cheek bones, and the v of my lips.
To finish, I added my Bee-Q-Box F*ckboy Repellent setting spray in the shade 'Petty' and NYX Cosmetics Mega Shine Lip Gloss in 'Baby Rose'.
